Honor Flight of Eastern Oregon is an authorized Honor Flight Network hub, run by The Bend Heroes Foundation. The foundation is organized for the primary purpose of honoring Central Oregon’s military veterans, first responders, and other heroes by raising funds to assist them, create memorials, and scholarships for qualifying Heroes.
Currently Bend Heroes Foundation is participating in the national Honor Flight Network program taking WWII veterans to Washington, DC free of charge for a four day trip to visit their National WWII Memorial, White House, Capitol, and 8 other attractions there.
The Bend Heroes Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation. The operation is overseen by a board of directors:
