Comments on the Military and Business Ownership
Effective leadership is probably the most important piece of military experience that helps in entrepreneurship. When you're under pressure and/or out in the field you can't afford to hang around waiting for hand-holding. Although some think the armed forces personify micromanagement, often the opposite is true: Objectives are given with a certain freedom to achieve them. That said, persevering through situations that don't go your way is the second most important lesson.
