Comments on the Military and Business Ownership
The military taught me discipline, but motherhood taught me entrepreneurship. I served in the Space Force, including two deployments to Iraq, while raising my daughter. Both taught me to make decisions without perfect information, solve problems with what I have, advocate fiercely for my people, and keep moving when the plan falls apart. Veterans aren't better entrepreneurs because we're tougher. We're good at the job because we already know: the mission doesn't stop when life gets messy!
